2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
You must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle.
A valid government-issued driving license (with a minimum of 1 year driving experience) is required.
Foreign nationals must carry a valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
3. Booking & Payment Policy
Bookings are confirmed only upon full or partial advance payment.
Payment methods include UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, and other approved gateways.
A refundable security deposit may be required before vehicle handover. This is refunded after safe return of the vehicle, subject to deductions (if any).
4. Pickup & Drop Policy
Vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at designated locations or your hotel/bus stand (as per booking details).
Late return beyond the grace period (usually 1 hour) will attract additional charges on an hourly or per-day basis.
Early return does not guarantee refund unless specified in the cancellation policy.
5. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a certain level of fuel. You are required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level.
Shortage in fuel will result in fuel cost + service charge deduction from your deposit.
6. Usage Restrictions
By renting from SelfDriveManali, you agree:
Not to use the vehicle for racing, illegal activity, or commercial sub-rental.
Not to drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance.
To drive only within the allowed geographic zones (unless permission for outstation is taken).
To use the vehicle responsibly and return it in the same condition as delivered.
Any violation may result in immediate cancellation and legal action.
7. Accidents, Damage & Insurance
All vehicles are covered under standard motor insurance (Third-Party + Limited Own Damage).
In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, you must:
Inform us immediately
File a police FIR (if necessary)
Submit a written statement of the incident
The renter is liable for:
Any deductible not covered by insurance
Tyre damage, clutch burn, underbody damage, or interior damage
Driving without proper documents or under intoxication voids the insurance
Damages due to off-roading or reckless driving are chargeable
8. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the booking will receive a partial or full refund (as per company policy).
Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to charges.
No-shows or last-minute cancellations are non-refundable.
Refund of security deposit takes 5–7 business days, after deduction (if applicable).
9. Liabality Disclaimer
SelfDriveManali is not liable for:
Loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle
Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events
Mechanical failure due to misuse
Any third-party claims arising during your rental period
10. Customer Responsibilities
You Agree to:
Comply with all local traffic rules and laws
Take full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period
Bear fines, penalties, or towing charges due to violations
Inspect the car before handover and report any visible issues
11. Termination of Booking
SelfDriveManali reserves the right to:
Refuse service or cancel bookings without prior notice in case of false documentation or misuse
Forfeit security deposit if T&Cs are violated
Take legal action in case of deliberate damage, theft, or non-compliance

12. Governing Laws
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be settled under the jurisdiction of Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
